Augmented Reality Database
HIAA1910 – Brown Historic Architecture
In the fall of 2011 I had the great privilege of collaborating with Professor Dietrich Neumann and his students in the creation of a comprehensive augmented reality (AR) database of Brown’s historic campus architecture. The project used a combination of Google Maps, Google Sites, and the AR browser Wikitude to create a collection of 123 unique entries. In addition to showing existing architecture, the project was also able to contextually place destroyed structures as well as proposed buildings that were never realized.
